The Department focus on advance Research & Education in the broad areas of Geotechnical, Structural, Transportation, Water Resource & Environmental. Civil Engineering is the application of Physical & Scientific principles, & its history is intricately linked to throughout History. The Departmental activities embrace Planning, Design, Construction & Management.

The primary objective of this program is to produce well- balenced Civil Engineers capable of entering the Civil Engineering profession or continuing their studies at the graduate level. Student will be well prepared to solve current Civil Engineering problems, and they will have the ability to adapt to problems of the future . The achievements of Civil Engineers are well-known to the general public, because Civil Engineers build the world infrastructure. In doing so, they can shape the history of nation.

The Civil Engineering Department has a team of 24 well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculties under the guidance of Professors.

Program

Students take common core subjects of Civil Engineering, and then specialize in the areas of structural engineering, etc. Our curriculum lays intensive focus on: construction Technology, Soil Mechanics, Geotechnology, Surveying, Concrete Technologies, Structural Analysis , Reinforced concrete structures, Transportation Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Hydrology, Sewerage & Sewage Treatment, Bridge Engineering , Environmental Engineering, Design of Steel Structures, Water Resource Engineering and Construction Management.

Project Work and Training

The students of Civil Engineering take practical training after 4th semester through a Survey camp Multistory building projects , road and construction , irrigation a n d hydropower plants. Further, they work on various projects during 7th & 8th semesters. Students are also taken for industrial visits to various projects.
